Career Profile
Susan is an associate in the white collar and complex litigation practice group in New York. Her practice includes representing clients in Department of Justice investigations, SEC investigations, and commercial disputes. She has advised individuals and corporations on a range of issues including those relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, and the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and federal securities laws.

Prior to joining Freshfields, Susan spent a year starting and operating a Connecticut hedge fund's charitable foundation. Modeled after the Tiger and Robin Hood Foundations in New York, the foundation targeted poverty by investing in high-impact nonprofits.

Susan earned her law degree from Harvard in 2006. She graduated summa cum laude from Princeton in 2003, where she was awarded the Lt. John I. Larkin Memorial Prize from the Woodrow Wilson School for the best senior thesis in the area of economics, for her paper Women's Work, Women's Worry: An Empirical Study on the Cognitive Impact of Mother's Work on Children's Cognitive Development.

Susan lives with her husband Mike and daughters Annie and Emma in Tribeca, and enjoys entertaining, fitness, and all things New York.
